This mound was erected by the Baalberg people, to protect a central stone plated chamber. In later centuries, many burials had taken place, by the Walternienburger culture and the Schnurkeramiker, up into the bronze age.Fabian Gall: Steinzeitdorf Latdorf, 2003
Those graves were used for a whole kin. Built without entry passage tunnel, there was an opening for later burials. There are really huge stones, and sometimes gather in neighborhood to other dolmen. Originally, those graves were covered with soil.
