Stone grave of Lindern
Stone grave of Lindern

Again one of the great funnel beaker megalith tombs! It's a pretty good preserved chamber, oriented NW-SO, 5,9 x 1,7 m in size, built from ten, partly splitted wall stones and two of four original capstones.
The tomb is surrounded by grave mounds of newer age. It is easy to see the group of eighteen mounds nohrt of the tomb. This testifies, that cemetries had a long persistence in use.

Those graves were used for a whole kin. Built without entry passage tunnel, there was an opening for later burials. There are really huge stones, and sometimes gather in neighborhood to other dolmen. Originally, those graves were covered with soil.
