Ganggrab - Katelbogen
Ganggrab - Katelbogen

This is a tribal grave chamber of the neolithic ages. The passage consists of 5 jochen, which are elements consisting of two wall stones and one capstone, and it has two end stones. The passage is 8.80 m in length, was in NW of 2.30 m and on SO 1.60 meters wide, and it was 1.60 to 1.80 meters high. The holes between the megaliths were filled with smaller stones. The ground was also layed with small erratoc blocks and flint stone goaf. The entry passage was 3 meters long, 0.80 meters wide and 1 meter in height. It was from the south east side and was closed with a stone of red sand stone. Originally, it was covered with earth completely.
The examinations in 1966 found burial objects, tools and pots. One pot showed a human face.

Those graves were used for a whole kin. There are really huge stones, and may even have a hole in one of it's bounding stones. They were surrounded by smaller megaliths in circles or ovals. Unfortunately most of the smaller stones are missing.
