Niederzeuzheim
Niederzeuzheim

The walls of this chamber were filled with dry masonry, and the floor was plastered. The chamber has 6.6 m length and 2.5 m width, and hosted a few hundred funerals.
Although that chamber was plundered around 1800 a Chr., and usage as weapon stash, in an archeological survey in 1922 revealed several bones. After widely opening the grave in 1954, the chamber went to racak and ruin, until in 2004 it was reconstructed. The local historical society of Niederzeuzheim and hessen ARCHÄOLOGIE engaged voluntarily to have this grave preserved. Translated from the info plate

Those graves were used for a whole kin. Built without entry passage tunnel, there was an opening for later burials. There are really huge stones, and sometimes gather in neighborhood to other dolmen. Originally, those graves were covered with soil.
