This megalithic stone disk played a grave role in the middle ages as tribunal stone. Also, this stone is pierced by some nails as seen elsewhere. Stone disks are usually grand menhirs. Many have a so called blood groove along the small sides. Prehistoric chiselers work indicates a matriarchal meaning on the Eselstratt.
