This menhir is the more famous stone disk among Benzingerode. Another disk resides across the road. It is a short walk to the highest among the three. Stone disks are usually grand menhirs. Many have a so called blood groove along the small sides. Prehistoric chiselers work indicates a matriarchal meaning on the Eselstratt.
